STA ITF PLay TENNIS Coaching Course
The STA ITF Play Tennis Coaching Course is a mandatory introductory level tennis coaching course by the International Tennis Federation (ITF) to acquire the necessary competencies for entry to STA Level 1 Technical Coaching Course.
This is a 35-hour blended learning course with face-to-face and online subjects included in the course. (3 hours of online learning pre-course & 32 hours of on-court sessions).
The aim of the ITF Play Tennis course is to help participants understand how to introduce tennis to beginner players of all ages, organising and delivering tennis sessions in a fun and effective learning environment.
Upon the successful completion of the ITF Play Tennis course the participants will be able to work with young beginner players i.e., 10-and-under children and adult beginner players i.e., ITN 10 with guidance from Head Coaches.
To progress to the STA Level 1 Technical Coaching Course, participants are required to pass all assessments (written, tennis ability and group lesson) with recommendation to progress from the tutors.

Re-Test eligibility is applicable to applicants who did not meet the required competencies in both Group and Individual assessments.

Applicants who participated in the ITF Play Tennis Course from 2021- 2023 onwards are eligible for Re-Test.

Applicants who failed to meet the competencies for Tennis Ability are not eligible for the Re-Test.
